What game engine is the game being developed on?

How far along are you from finishing the game?
The game is currently 65% complete. Give or take a % or two. It really depends on how much backing we can get on this project. The main game play mechanics is there. But I need fresh coders. And Artists to be able to bring the game to completion entirely.

How long have you been working on this project?
For quite a few years now. I started the project back in 2006. In the Blitz3D engine. Then I moved on to the Neo Axis game engine and have not looked back sense. It has been a long road. But the game has come a long way sense then. And I loved every moment of it.

Yes I have. This game has mainly been just a hobby of mine. It has seen many itterations and versions. Also it has seen many hardships in the past. But for 9 years I have worked on this game. And the game has grew to the little monster you will see before you.
Just how big is the game? Download size wise and content?
The game itself when Zipped up (Rar) is over 3 gig in size. Maybe even bigger by now. It has quite a bit of content. Around 75 units in all. Maybe even more. I have not counted them in a wile. Everything in the game currently works. From Mechs, to Aircraft and Helicopters, Tanks, Wheeled vehicles and many others. Including turrets. Everything is already setup in the game. And shows off just how much work has been made to the game.
Why so long? How come you have been developing this game for 9 years?
Well, mainly I have worked on the game by myself for the past 9 years. Along with different coders. Everything you see in the game. I either created myself. Or spent my own money on to add to the game. From the 3D models to the music, and sound effects. And textures. I either created it. Or I have bought it and added it to the game.
Speaking of buying how much do you think you spent developing this game for 9 years?
Just a quick estimate I have probably spent over 10,000 dollars of my own money on this project through the years. Probably even more or so. I enjoy it. And have been working on it for a wile. But I am just one person and I need a much bigger team to help me finish it. That is why I am here. To be able to hire on more people and or get the things I need/want to help me finish this project.
This game will be finished right?
Yes! of course. Even if this does not pan out on kick starter I still plan on completeing the game. Even if it takes me another 9 years lol. I love this game too much to stop working on it. Probably even when it is done I will still work on it. Adding more content. And stuff. It is just too much fun for me to truely quit it. I love it way too much. And have too much fun working on it.

Is this game a Mech Warrior clone?
Not a clone. But allot of stuff has been done to be like Mech Warrior in many ways. I started this project because I wanted a game that was alot like Mech Warrior with the locational damage and stuff. But I did not want the headache that comes with the community. Nore the BT Bible thumpers. That come with it either. (BT Bible thumper = Battle Tech Bible Thumper.) I wanted a game that played alot like Mech Warrior in different ways. From locational damage ect. Along with different weapon types. And other stuff.
I would like to see X Y and Z added to the project.
I can add just about anything I want to this project. As long as it can be coded. So if you want to see something I am sure it can be added. I have no quams adding anything to this game. As long as it is right for the project.
How many people has worked on this project in the past?
Well for the main part myself. But several different coders have worked on the project in the past. And all of them has added something good to it. As for how many. I will have to say atleast 5 different coders have worked on this game along with myself. And probably 3 other different Artists. Who no longer work on the game. We are currently down to 2 people on the project team now. Myself and my newest coder. Whom has been working on this project for about a year and half now.
Will this game be DRM free?
Yes this game will not have anything like any special code you have to put in. to play it. It will be DRM free.
What will this game be released on?
This will be a PC only game. And will not be released on any other gaming systems. Because it is just simply too hard. And Neo Axis does not support other platforms yet.
